More Cookies

You know how I get about things...first it was cake balls. Now it's cookies. I can't stop obsessing over and making Christmas Cookies! Today, I sent Chris to work with a tray full of cookies to share with his co-workers. I decorated the Santa hats & mittens that I made a few days ago. I love them!

I used white nonpareils for the Santa hat, hoping it would look like fur. Does it? Then I used clear sprinkles for the mittens. To make the red color, use equal parts of red paste icing color and No-taste red icing color. I also added a bit of violet, black, and green to darken the color. Make a red shade, but know that it will darken a few shades as it dries.

Christmas cookies are so much fun to make. People love them. They get happy. It makes me happy. I think one more round is in order before this holiday season is done.
