Made for Maddie

Well, since I'm pretty sure Maddie doesn't read my blog, I think it's safe to post these pictures.

Maddie wanted stuff for her American Girl doll for Christmas.  A bed.  Clothes.  Etc.  The bed will be revealed in a later post.  It's not ready.  Or even started.

But I did get one thing finished-- of the clothing genre.  I had purchased these patterns a while back.

It's all of the Disney Princess dresses.  For 19" dolls.

So I got to making Kit a dress.  I chose Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) for my first one.

I made the dress, and then my sister made a drop off of the doll to my mom's so I could try it on her.  Here's the dress...

And here is her Kit doll wearing it!

I'm pleased with the result.  I have miles to go as far as learning how to sew clothing.  And this clothing is so small-- it's much different than adult clothing.  But I thought it was a good first try.  I think Maddie will love it :)
